Social networking is the way of the world, however, it is important to understand in certain environments, such as education, not everything can be public information.

finalsiteSocial solves this. With this in mind, I was able to design and develop a user interface that is private. This user interface includes design elements for activity streams, comments, messages, avatars and more. With hundreds of users communication through fsSocial, this interface proves to be easy to navigate and understand.

Avatars

Since Social relies so heavily on avatars, I created a set for admins to use for their classroom or group if they don’t update their own.

Activity Stream

Users can post an update to certain classes and include files and/or links. They also have the ability to comment on a post. To the left, they see their picture, which they can update at any time. Below is their navigation with a new message indicator if applicable.

Messages

Below is the interface for the conversation view in a group message. Users are easily able to see who is on the message, what everyone has said so far, and can send a reply.
